Pretreatment Products for Aluminum
We manufacture both non-chromate and chromate conversion coatings for aluminum alloys. Our non-chrome products have been used in industry for over a decade. The following products represent the latest in non-chrome technologies and some of the best performing chromate conversion coatings around.
| Non-chromate Conversion Coatings | |
| A-1000 | A two to four stage process that provides excellent corrosion resistance and paint adhesion. Useful on parts which will be painted or to which a sealer is applied to improve hydrophilicity or corrosion resistance. |
| A-3000 | A one stage process that imparts excellent corrosion resistance to parts. Usually a sealer is not required. |
| A-5000 | A new non-chrome coating with outstanding paint adhesion properties. We achieved over 3000 hours in NSS on painted aluminum panels with only 2-3 mils of polyester-urethane paint. |
| Chromate Conversion Coatings | |
| A-300 | A good basic chromate conversion coating for aluminum alloys. With coatings weights from 20 mg/sq.ft. to well over 130 mg/sq.ft., it provides great corrosion resistance and paint adhesion. |
| A-350 | A molybdenum free chromate conversion coating. Additionally, A-350 works at lower temperatures than A-300, providing lower energy costs. |
